Musallam aquatic farm, a pioneer aquaculture project in Republic of Yemen. The project is situated on the northern bank of Red Sea. This is the only aqua culture project on the maritime length of more than 1600 Km of Yemen territory. The hatchery and farms are at project place known as Lohayya and the processing plant is at Hodeidah where Musallam Head office is situated, which is about 150 Km away from the project area and very much closer to the sea port and air port. The water source is very clear, excellent, and free from all the industrial effluent pollution, as there is no industry in the vicinity of more than 250 Km. As Yemen receives very negotiable amount rainfall, no runoff of rain water thus there is no chance of water source getting any pesticide contamination due to agricultural activities. Naturally hyper saline water of red sea inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria and as native red sea strain of white shrimps (P. Indicus) has been marked for best growout performance in the Middle East and our products under MTE brand are well accepted by consumer elsewhere in the globe from South Korea in the Far East to Egypt
